Actually SFA usually does their press releases for new attractions in february even when it's a coaster.Batwing for example wasn't announced til feb.15/2001 & didn't actually open to the public until june 12 of that year. Now from what I read on the Q-3 conference call only 4 SF parks are adding coasters for 06 & those are the ones we've known about for months now....anyone know if ST will open at TGE for 06? as already mentioned trains are now on site.

Serial Thriller to open at TGE in 2006 is rather questionable right now. Tracks has arrived at TGE today. The ground work had began, so well it may be open for 2006 but I have doubts that it will be open on time for TGE's opening day, maybe open late June or early July.

Well of course it takes time to construct the ride & they usually open the new attractions like I said at the height of the  summer season or as soon as possible after construction.

When looking at RCDB.com it didn't mention anything as of yet regarding the official status of relocation for any SFAW coasters but as for UT's relocation I just remembered that premiere rides in Millersville MD. manufactures the heartline coaster so it actually makes sense to send it to SFA as they can easily get parts for it as needed both for structural as well as mechanical components.

Do we know anything on the Steam Engine yet?  Last I heard and the discussion at the park (while I was working on the Steam Engine) was that hopefully it was going to be donated to the Houston Railroad Museum.  Did that ever happen?  I know most of the other parks had passed on it.

It is for sale. It is now sitting in the round house.

Nice CoasterFreak, looks like ST could use a new coat of paint after they put it up.

Any word on  yet UT's status of deconstruction/preperation for shipping?

UT is about 80% physcially standing, I'm sure all wiring is gone, The switchback part that takes you down is gone. If i see something you'll see it on my album.
