Day 9

Sorry, I got my wires crossed.  Six Flags New England.

Swat is being loaded onto trucks as it is being taken down.
Dungeon Drop: All the control cables are disconnected from the PC room, they are being disconnected at the tower. This will take several days.

Arcades games were being loaded today.

Would you happen to know where Warp 2000 and/or Gunslinger are going? I would really appreciate some help. Thanks.

I really appreciate this thread even though it's so sad.  I'm really curious about what will become of XLR8 if anything.

I understand that the Cyclone is destined for the scrap heap. Unbelievable.

Now wait a minute, I was surfing the gadv.com forums and the rumor over there is that SWAT is comming to Six Flags Great Adventure. They are putting it in the new section with El Toro. So why is it going to... Georgia? New England? (can't remember where...)

I'm one of the regular posters on the GAdv forums. We are getting a new ride for next year with El Toro yes. And the footprint matches that of SWAT, which can be seen here: http://www.gainsider.com/files/093005-eltoromap-big.jpg

We've never had official confirmation other than a rumor that SWAT was coming, and apparently it wasn't to be. Makes you wonder what the new ride is, though..

And since I'm posting here now.. is there any word of ANY rides coming to Great Adventure from Astroworld?

Warp 2000 is arriving at SFOT as part of their 10-piece "family package" next year, under the new moniker "Crazy Legs."  Looping Starship and Runaway Rickshaws will be arriving also, as "Rock-N-Rocket" and "Sidewinder", respectively.

^Yep, found that out today. At least they are staying in Texas. I guess my new question is does anyone know where Wagon Wheel and/or Gunslinger are going?

I hope someone is photographically documenting the dismantling.  On other boards I've seen lots of lamenting that there aren't more photos of Astroworld construction years ago.

^ Although it would be sad to see, it would be sort of interesting to see  demolition photos. I'm surprised to hear that the Cyclone is being scrapped.
