^Looping Starship is going to SFOT. It will be the rocket themed ride.

ST's drop is gone. A piece of the handrail from cyclone has disappeared. I believe the tires that were on the top north and south bend have been removed. UT has had the switchback removed and looks like sections of track are being removed, the first block brake from ST was loaded on a truck today. Nothing visible for tidal wave except a crane, they might be pulling cable or something. GL had the encloslure door open today they might be ready to remove the flywheel(i'm guessing since that's the room)

As some of you know, Six Flags Great Adventure is getting a new coaster and new kids section next year called Bugs Bunny National Park. However, no one knows exactly what's going in there yet, or if the rides will be new or used.

Last week my site (GAInsider.com) and a few others got to tour El Toro's construction area. While on the tour we saw pieces of what seem to be kids rides sitting in the parking lot.

Does anyone recognize those ride pieces? From Astroworld or anywhere else?

Yes, those look exactly like something taken from Astroworld.  Here's a picture of my daughter riding them - taken Oct 15, 2005.

Day 40 Dec 9

Today the Texas Cyclone trains and Serial Thriller Trains left on 18 wheelers.

UT is going to Wash DC
ST is not going to FT, but the Waterworld Speedslide is.

Greezed Lightin', Viper, XLR-8, Looping Starship, Mayan Mindbender are for sale.

January 6,7,8 will be the public auction. There will be a $5.00 charge for a Certificate of Authentication. Times TBA.

So when you say UT is confirmed to be heading to Wash.DC (SFA) is it simply going into storage at the park or will it be going into operation? As far as I know SFA is adding more to Hurricane Harbor for 06/07 (plans are on file with the PG planning board for a new lazy river & slides) & according to the recent season pass  renewal email I recieved yesterday they only mention eight coasters. So if UT were going into operation for the 06 season it would make sense to say nine coasters, not eight on the season pass renewal email.

Now it would make sense to store UT there in the space previously occupied by the defunct Python shuttle loop coaster which was removed from the field it had been stored in  since the end of the 1998 season but I don't see it actually going into operation, much less remaining there for any length of time.

If it goes into operation, it won't be until next year anyway.  Too late to try to start taking measurements for space and such, given if they start now the ride won't be operational until summer at the very least, which will keep it open only a few months before the park shuts down for winter.  All press has been done and a coaster of that magnitude constitutes a pretty good press release, especially for that park.  So it will be in storage for next year at least, no matter where it is installed next....if that's what it's next destined fate is.

Actually SFA usually does their press releases for new attractions in february even when it's a coaster.Batwing for example wasn't announced til feb.15/2001 & didn't actually open to the public until june 12 of that year. Now from what I read on the Q-3 conference call only 4 SF parks are adding coasters for 06 & those are the ones we've known about for months now....anyone know if ST will open at TGE for 06? as already mentioned trains are now on site.
