Other than the park being dismantled, I'm doing well.  It did surprise me when they made the announcement of shutdown and then demolished it so rapidly.  During the early to mid 80s I worked food service and rides (operations).. then took a haitus for about a year.  Then joined back with a leasee and worked for several more years under a merchandise leasee (several actually).  I hadn't visited the park after about '88 since I no longer lived in Houston.

That park was great and I have a lot of fond (and not so fond) memories while working there.  Although, if I had to do it over again, I would still work there (if it still existed).  It was a great place to work (even beyond some of the stupidity that abounds by some nameless previous employees and supervisors).  Although, I will say that working for a leasee in the park was a lot better than working for the park directly.

If you had worked there when it was owned by Judge Roy you would have loved it!
