Day 24 Nov 23, 2005

Late yesterday the crane remove the roof off of Dungeon Drop. Today they were pulling motor cables out of the tower. The 18 wheeler is scheduled to arrive today to pick up the control cabinets.

Diablo Falls is now being dismattled.

Greezed Lightin' train got removed from the track.

Where is GL going?

Pics i took today.

foxmulder,

The big gray item on the truck (from the pictures you took) is Martian Maggot.

Ah, I saw the little ship leave yesterday with a the wagon wheels hardware(brown aircompressor and tire) I thought DD had a type of elevator/ladder inside, but when the crane arrived i could've sworn it had a basket(to leave workers up top) How did they change the beacon light if it went out?

Dungeon Drop (Giant Drop) came with a ladder inside or optional elevator inside. We got the ladder. We had two ways of getting to the top. 1. Climb the ladder  2. We had a work basket that attached to the top of the catch wagon. We would ride the basket up on the outside of the tower and at the top is a hatch which we would climb through. To make it easier, the mechanics added a ladder that hung from the motor room (at the top) down about 3 feet. We would climb from the work basket up this ladder into the motor room. Inside the room was another ladder that led to the roof. You could walk around on top of the tower. There is where you would repair the beacon.

What coasters (if anyone knows) are being relocated and which ones are toast?

The rumor going around is that ST could be going to The Great Escape in New York.

I heard that too, but ST havent been taken down yet. If it will go to Great Escape, it may open late on summer or open in 2007. I wont believe the rumor till i see its tracks pieces on GE's parking lot (I live an hour from GE)
