   What I did at Astroworld
I was one of the original Astroworld employees when the park opened in 1968. I was the Conductor on the Cannonball-610 Limited RR for three seasons. I did the spiel for the customers and told those jokes that kept the passengers laughing during their ride. Later, I became Fireman and Engineer on the 610 Limited before leaving Astroworld in 1971. When not schedule to work the Train, I worked Rides as a sub. I worked about ever ride in the park and I especially loved working Spin-out, Le Taxi and the Alpine Sleigh and Lost World rides. What a fun experience working for Astroworld back in those days…

What I want to share with you.
I remember when Judge Roy H. would come to visit the park in 68-69. Operation/Park Management would pull out the special Train/Car that was kept in a shed in Oriental Corner. Boy, Judge Roy was treated like royalty and was that train plush. His visits were special events for the employees.
